BIOGRAPHY

Sastry Pamidi is the Professor and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, and Interim Director of the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University. He leads multidisciplinary research in superconducting power applications for electric transport and utilities.

Sastry’s work focuses on sustainable energy systems, green hydrogen, and high-power density superconducting devices. He collaborates widely with research groups, manufacturers, and small businesses, and has published extensively. He also serves as the president of his local IEEE Section and is a Fellow of the Cryogenic Society of America.
