Dr. Md Aminul Islam is a researcher at the National Research Council Canada, where he leads studies on hydrogen materials compatibility, tribology, and failure analysis. He has authored more than 100 research papers and technical reports and is widely recognized as a specialist in surface interactions and hydrogen systems.
Aminul co-chairs the Canadian Hydrogen Codes and Standards Working Group and serves on ASTM committees. He also mentors students through adjunct roles at UBC and Dalhousie, helping shape the future of hydrogen materials science.
